Our story

The name
grows here

Sacra comes from Boswellia sacra, the frankincense tree that grows wild in the wadis behind Salalah and almost nowhere else on earth.

For four thousand years its resin left Dhofar by camel and dhow, bound for Egypt, Rome and beyond. That trade is why UNESCO calls this coast the Land of Frankincense, and why the sites around Salalah carry World Heritage status.

We took the tree's name because it is the honest answer to what makes this corner of Oman worth the flight. Every itinerary we run starts from that ground.

What to expect

Four ways to see Dhofar
